Coming in at a base weight of a mere 22 pounds the Rambler is our lightest weight saddle. Some upgrades will bump the weight some. For instance, the addition of a leather wrapped horn adds about 1 pound. It features our proven trooper saddle tree which is available in medium, wide, mule and custom fits. To ensure the proper fit we offer a series of fitting trees that we can ship to you with instructions that will help you fit and take several pics from specific angles for evaluation. Using these pics we can also determine if a custom adjustment to the tree is necessary. We can also work from back tracings or the Equi-measure mold system available from Synergist Saddlery. Our seats are available with our Xrta-cush padding system or a doubled and stitched hard seat. A note about our Xtra-cush padding system, this consists of a 1/4″ foam rubber base layer that is then topped with our 1/2″ lifetime gel-foam middle layer. On top of that is a 1/2″ layer of quality upholstery foam and then we finish with a lightly grained smooth upholstery leather top. This is a combination of padding materials that we have developed over many years that stands the test of time as far as comfort as well as durability. As with all our suspended seat saddles we utilize fine English bridle leather and all stainless steel or solid brass hardware. We make all of our saddles to be super comfy and to offer a lifetime of trouble free service. The Rambler, like all of our saddles has options for color, seat size, seat padding, horn, fenders, stirrups, tie points, and border tooling.
